It was Deaf Awareness Week in the UK (2nd May to Sunday 8th May 2011) and organisations across the UK worked with deaf people across the country and invited everyone to 'Look At Me'. The theme aimed to improve understanding of the different types of deafness by highlighting the many different methods of communication used by deaf such as sign language and lip-reading. Read more
