Kanchi is currently recruiting a software engineer for a 1 year project to design and develop the global management information system to support the expansion of the Ability Awards International.

Job Title – Global MIS Software Engineer

Project Description:

To design and develop a Multi-lingual Internationalised / Localised Global Management Information System, based on a ‘Software as a Service’ (SAAS) delivery model, for the management and support of the Ability Awards Going Global Programme.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
1. A minimum of BSc (Hons) 2:1 (or equivalent) in a computing discipline.

Desirable:
At least one year’s experience (placement is acceptable) in a software development or a technical project management role.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in at least some of the following:
• Project Management
• Software Engineering (in particular requirements analysis and design)
• Software development in a modern Object Oriented Language
(e.g. Java, C#, C++ etc.)
• Web Application Development on Microsoft .NET platform
• Cloud based computing
• Software Testing
• Microsoft SharePoint Development and Deployment experience

The graduate should be able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and self-motivation necessary to work in a small team where they will be the technical lead. He/she must be able to demonstrate strong technical ability and creative thinking and possess the ability to work on their own initiative. They will also be expected to have excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.

To be considered for this position you must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
